Tinubu stated that Takaichi’s rise to Japan’s highest political office reflects the “deep trust and confidence” the Japanese people and the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) have in her leadership abilities.
He described her success not only as a political achievement but also as “a global inspiration to women breaking barriers in governance.”

Nigeria, Japan to Strengthen Strategic Ties

Reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations with Japan, President Tinubu emphasized ongoing cooperation in trade, technology, innovation, and development.
He expressed confidence that both nations would continue to explore fresh opportunities for mutual growth under Prime Minister Takaichi’s administration.

“As you assume this new responsibility, be assured of Nigeria’s friendship and continued collaboration for shared prosperity,” Tinubu said.

Takaichi’s Rise: A Testament to Perseverance

The Nigerian leader also lauded Takaichi’s long political journey, describing it as “a symbol of resilience, dedication, and excellence in public service.”
He expressed optimism that her leadership would further Japan’s role in promoting global peace, stability, and sustainable development.

President Tinubu concluded his message by wishing the new Prime Minister good health, wisdom, and success in office, adding that he looks forward to meeting her soon to discuss areas of mutual benefit.
