A close associate of late Afrobeats singer Destiny Boy has finally broken silence amid rising rumours and speculation surrounding the young artiste’s sudden death.

In an emotional video now circulating online, the associate urged Nigerians to stop spreading unverified stories about the singer’s passing, stressing that Destiny Boy had been battling an illness long before his death.

“He Was Managing an Illness”

According to the associate, Destiny Boy was not fine before his demise, contrary to the narratives being pushed on social media.

“I want to do this video before everyone starts spreading wrong information about what killed Destiny Boy. Destiny Boy had an illness he was managing before he died, and everything possible was done,” he said.

He explained that medical efforts were made to stabilize the singer, but ultimately, his death was beyond human control.

“It Was God’s Will”

The associate described the singer’s passing as painful but inevitable, attributing it to divine will rather than rumours or conspiracy theories.

“It was God’s wish he died. May God look after the son and family he left behind,” he added.

He also reminded the public that death is unavoidable, urging people to focus on living meaningful lives rather than speculating about tragedy.

“Death is inevitable for everyone. Our prayer should be that we live a long and purposeful life.”
