The East African gospel community is mourning the untimely passing of celebrated Rwandan gospel singer and social media phenomenon Gloriose Musabyimana, popularly known as Gogo Gloriose. She died in Kampala, Uganda, on the night of September 3, 2025, with her death officially confirmed on the morning of September 4 by her manager, Bikem wa Yesu.

Gogo, aged 36, collapsed shortly after arriving in Kampala for promotional activities following a successful gospel revival event in Mbarara (August 29–31), where she had ministered alongside her team. Her health fluctuated due to a chronic heart condition, which initially appeared manageable but worsened unexpectedly. She was rushed to Kyengera Doctors Centre, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Known for her heartfelt worship songs—especially the viral “Everyday, I Need Blood of Jesus”—Gogo’s ministry had gained massive traction on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, becoming a source of inspiration and comfort across generations.

Early tributes poured in from fellow artists and fans in Rwanda, Uganda, and beyond. Her manager reflected the collective grief online: “R.I.P. Gogo, what terrible news! God, strengthen my heart.”

Her passing leaves a void in the gospel music scene and serves as a reminder of her resilience—from her humble beginnings in the Anglican choir of Rwamagana through her meteoric rise to digital acclaim.
