American rapper King Harris was arrested during a traffic stop in Georgia over the weekend after being pulled over for speeding, according to police.

Authorities in Gwinnett County said the rapper was driving at 60mph in a 45mph zone around 1 a.m. on Sunday when officers stopped him. During the stop, police reported spotting a firearm in the vehicle and ordered him to step out, but he allegedly refused, leading to his arrest.
Officers also said they found a vape pen containing THC in the car. According to reports, Harris, the son of rapper T.I. and Tiny Harris, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanour count of obstructing law enforcement. He was also issued citations for speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.

The rapper appeared to make light of the situation on social media, posting images of himself in a Pikachu onesie during the incident and joking about the arrest. He also shared additional posts after being taken into custody.

This is not his first run-in with the law. In 2024, Harris was arrested following another traffic stop after police said he nearly collided with a patrol vehicle and was later found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.
