Nigerian street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has responded to former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent warning that America could take military action in Nigeria if the killings of Christians continue.

Portable Warns U.S. Not to Underestimate Nigeria

During a TikTok live session with a Nigerian-born U.S. soldier, the Zazuu Zeh crooner cautioned American forces against invading Nigeria, claiming that such a move would end badly.

“If U.S. soldiers invade Nigeria, they no go go back home. Those Boko Haram people wey una dey hear about — dem be person papa, brother, and husband. Many of them join because of hunger,” Portable said.

Claims of ‘Elite Sponsors’ Behind Terrorism

Portable went further to allege that some insurgent groups in the country are funded by “elite sponsors” both inside and outside Nigeria, adding that the issue of insecurity is deeper than people realize.

His comments quickly went viral across social media platforms, sparking waves of laughter and debate among fans.

Social Media Reactions

Fans flooded the internet with mixed — and mostly hilarious — reactions to Portable’s analysis.

One user wrote:

“I just believe say wetin people talk say Portable never finish him drug for Yabaleft na true.”

Another joked:

“He got me when he said, ‘Let’s talk like educated person.’”

While a third added:

“Portable no just get sense — and this one sef come serious with am wahala.”

Background — Trump’s Fiery Warning

Portable’s comments came shortly after Donald Trump threatened to cut aid to Nigeria and “wipe out” Islamic terrorists if the killings of Christians persist.

Trump’s remarks have stirred both local and international debate, with Nigerian officials describing his statements as misleading and “not reflective of reality.”
