IMG 9611 The NaijaWide NewsA disturbing claim circulating online has triggered widespread reactions after a Nigerian woman alleged that kidnappers in Ekiti State are now making outrageous and horrifying demands.

The emotional video, which has since gone viral, details accusations of brutality, ransom extortion, and an alleged new demand that has left many Nigerians in shock.

Woman Alleges Brutal Killing and Shocking Ransom Demand

In the viral clip, the lady claimed that kidnappers abducted a victim in Ekiti and allegedly killed the person while still demanding ransom from the grieving family before releasing the corpse.

According to her narration, the situation reportedly escalated when family members who attempted to negotiate and deliver money were also allegedly taken captive.

The most disturbing part of her claim was the alleged demand made by the criminals. She accused the kidnappers of insisting that female virgins must be provided before they would release those still in captivity.

While her statement was delivered in anger and frustration, it quickly gained traction across social media platforms, fueling widespread concern.

Public Reaction: Fear, Anger, and Doubt

The shocking allegation has generated heated debate online. Many users expressed fear over what they described as worsening insecurity, while others questioned the authenticity of the claims due to the absence of official confirmation.

Some commenters called for urgent intervention from security agencies, stressing the need for stronger measures to combat kidnapping and violent crimes across affected regions.

Others urged caution, advising Nigerians to verify information before drawing conclusions, especially when dealing with sensitive security matters.

Growing Concerns Over Security Challenges

Kidnapping-for-ransom has remained a serious security challenge in various parts of Nigeria, with several reported cases involving abduction, extortion, and prolonged negotiations.

However, as of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from authorities in Ekiti State confirming the specific allegations made in the viral video.

Residents and concerned citizens continue to demand improved security presence and swift investigations into any reported cases of abduction within the state.

Authorities Yet to Respond

Security agencies have not publicly addressed the viral claim at the time of publishing this report. Observers note that viral videos can sometimes amplify unverified accounts, making official clarification essential.

Nigerians are encouraged to rely on verified information from recognized authorities while security operatives continue efforts to curb criminal activities nationwide.
