
The Kano State Police Command has reported the arrest of two suspects in relation to the violent attack and robbery of singer Lil Kesh. The suspects, Mathew Adewole (25) of Na’ibawa Quarters and Mukhtar Muhammad (31) of Unguwa Uku Quarters, were apprehended on September 11, following intelligence‐led operations.
According to SP Abdullahi Haruna, Adewole allegedly attacked Lil Kesh at his Lagos residence in Bera Estate, Chevron, on August 19, 2025, inflicting a serious neck injury in the process. He then reportedly forced Lil Kesh to transfer ₦2,120,000 from his bank account via his mobile phone into Mukhtar Muhammad’s account.
The operation demonstrates Kano Police’s improved use of community intelligence and cooperation. The suspects are now under custody of the Lagos State Police for further prosecution.
