A 400-level Business Education student of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, identified as Idris Aremu Agboluaje, has reportedly died in a fatal road accident while attempting to retrieve his student identity card ahead of his final-year examination.
According to eyewitness accounts cited by The Guardian, the student was denied entry into the examination hall after failing to present his student ID card.
What Happened
Reports stated that Agboluaje, in a desperate effort to meet up with the exam, rushed back towards the school gate to get the card. Sadly, he was involved in a road accident during the attempt and did not survive.
Department Mourns
Reacting to the heartbreaking incident, the Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), KWASU chapter, expressed deep sorrow, describing the student’s death as a painful loss to the department.
“Our hearts go out to his parents, family members, friends, and classmates during this difficult time,” the association said in a statement.
