A Nigerian woman has shared a distressing testimony on TikTok, alleging that her life took a downturn after participating in the popular Hallelujah Challenge prayer sessions led by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey.

In the video, posted under the username @mirriam231, the woman tearfully recounted how her personal and financial challenges multiplied following her involvement in the spiritual programme.

“Is it me or things just got worse after the Hallelujah Challenge? Devil, you’re a liar. God is still good and faithful. God please help us,” she wrote in the caption.

Mixed Reactions on Social Media

The post quickly garnered widespread attention, with many TikTok users sharing their own experiences:

  • One viewer wrote:

“It got worse… lost everything I was scared of losing… sacrificed my sleep and never missed a day, only for things to get worse. I’m so angry I cried so much.”

  • Another encouraged patience, commenting:

“Be patient. God will definitely come through for you.”

While millions of participants have testified to breakthroughs and blessings from the Hallelujah Challenge, this account underscores that faith journeys can have unexpected outcomes, and personal experiences may vary.

The video continues to circulate widely, sparking conversations about the impact of mass prayer sessions on participants’ lives.
