Former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has paid an emotional tribute to his late friends, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, who died in a fatal car accident along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway.

The tribute marks Joshua’s first social media post since the tragic incident.

First Public Message Since the Accident

According to report, Joshua sustained minor injuries in the crash and was treated in hospital before being discharged on New Year’s Eve. The 36-year-old boxer subsequently returned to the United Kingdom on Saturday.

On Sunday, Joshua broke his silence with a heartfelt post shared across his social media platforms.

“My Brother’s Keeper”

The post featured a photograph of Joshua standing with members of the families of the deceased, accompanied by the caption:

“My Brother’s Keeper.”

The image reflects a moment of solidarity and support, as the boxer mourns the loss of two close friends.

Final Rites

Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele are scheduled to be laid to rest later on Sunday, bringing a solemn close to a tragedy that has drawn widespread sympathy from fans and the sports community.

Joshua’s tribute has since attracted messages of condolence, with many commending him for standing by the families during their time of grief.
