President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently in a closed-door meeting with Nigeria’s top security chiefs as the country battles a fresh wave of insecurity.

The high-profile meeting is holding at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, according to credible government sources.

In attendance are:

  • Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyode

  • Chief of Army Staff, Major General Waidi Shaibu

  • Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice-Marshal Kelvin Aneke

  • Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Idi Abbas

  • Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General E.A.P. Undiendeye

  • Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun

  • Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Tosin Ajayi

Although the agenda has not been made public, the emergency meeting comes amid rising incidents of banditry, kidnappings, and terror attacks across several states.

More details are expected as the meeting progresses.
