The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully neutralized several terrorists across the North-West and North-East regions, according to a statement by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters, Nigerian Air Force.

The operations followed intelligence-driven air interdictions, targeting terrorist strongholds responsible for abductions, violent attacks, and livestock rustling.

Airstrikes in Katsina State

In Katsina State, NAF aircraft executed two coordinated airstrikes on 27 November 2025.

  • The first strike, launched at approximately 0630 hours, targeted the fortified base of a notorious terrorist kingpin operating across Kankara, Faskari, and Malumfashi LGAs. Guided by real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), the camp was destroyed with precision munitions, while persistent ISR allowed follow-on engagements as surviving terrorists attempted to flee.

  • The second strike, at about 1755 hours, hit a major terrorist enclave in Danfako, Faskari LGA, destroying logistics hubs, operational infrastructure, and neutralizing several terrorists, significantly degrading their network in the North-West.

Operations in Borno State

In Borno State, ground troops of the 28 Task Force Brigade, Sector 4 OPERATION HADIN KAI (OPHK) successfully repelled a coordinated multi-front ISWAP/Boko Haram attack on Chibok. NAF aircraft conducted four major airstrikes against regrouping insurgents along their escape routes, guided by real-time intelligence from ground forces, inflicting significant losses on the terrorists.

Commitment to Security and Collaboration

The statement emphasized that these operations demonstrate the NAF’s commitment to precision, surgical engagements aimed at neutralizing threats, restoring security, and safeguarding the lives and properties of Nigerian citizens.

The NAF reaffirmed its resolve to continue collaborating with ground forces and other security agencies to ensure peace and security across all affected regions.

Conclusion

The recent airstrikes by the Nigerian Air Force reflect a strategic, intelligence-driven approach to counter-terrorism, signaling a firm commitment to restoring stability in the North-West and North-East of Nigeria. Citizens are assured of continued military vigilance to protect lives and properties.
