In her public reaction shared online, Jateny described the experience as humiliating and emotionally overwhelming for both her and her partner.
She expressed disappointment in the way Burna Boy handled the matter, noting that he made no attempt to understand the situation before publicly singling her out.
She reveals what she has been going through
Jateny explained that she has been physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted following the death of her daughter’s father. According to her, attending the concert was meant to bring her a bit of happiness after weeks of intense emotional strain.
She added that there was a long delay before Burna Boy came on stage, and the wait left her extremely tired.
Her full words
“I’m the girl that was kicked out of the show last night. Honestly, it was embarrassing and humiliating for me and my boyfriend.
Burna Boy could have handled it better. He didn’t know what I was dealing with, and he didn’t bother to ask if I was okay. I’ve been mentally, physically, and emotionally drained since my daughter’s dad passed away. I went to the show hoping to smile again.
He took so long to come out, and I got tired. We paid for our tickets, and if I decided to rest my eyes, it’s my business. It’s my money, not his.
And to those leaving nasty comments — try kindness. You never know what someone is battling.”
