The Facebook account of popular Nigerian cleric and Plateau State–based pastor, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has reportedly been taken down by the platform.

Dachomo confirmed the development on Saturday in an exclusive response to DAILY POST. When contacted to verify whether his account had been removed, he simply replied, “It’s true.”

The move comes at a time when the pastor has been outspoken about the killings and alleged persecution of Christians across Nigeria. Rev. Dachomo has continued to raise alarm over what he describes as ongoing “Christian genocide” in parts of the country.

In a recent widely circulated interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, Dachomo revealed that he has overseen more than 70 mass burials linked to violent attacks in communities across Plateau State and other regions.

He also recently addressed the United States Congress, giving firsthand testimony on the repeated killings and insecurity faced by Christian communities in Nigeria.

International attention on the issue has intensified in recent months. It will be recalled that former U.S. President Donald Trump once classified Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” over religious freedom violations.

However, the Nigerian government—whose officials recently visited the U.S. on a diplomatic mission—maintains that the classification was based on “faulty statistics.”

The removal of Rev. Dachomo’s Facebook account has sparked fresh conversations online, especially among religious groups and human rights advocates who fear it may further limit discussions around insecurity and attacks in affected regions.
