Seyi Tinubu has publicly reacted to the reported loss suffered by businessman and socialite Cubana Chief Priest during the APC House of Representatives primary election in Imo State.
Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, had contested for the All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
However, reports indicated that he lost the party ticket to incumbent lawmaker Canice More Nwachukwu, who is currently serving his second term in the House of Representatives.
Reacting to the development, Seyi Tinubu shared a message online encouraging Cubana Chief Priest not to lose hope despite the setback.
According to him, political defeats can sometimes create opportunities for greater victories in the future.
“Bro Sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up Cubana Chief Priest. We know what you are capable of achieving,” he wrote.
The message quickly gained attention online, with many supporters and political observers reacting to the show of support.
Cubana Chief Priest’s entry into politics had generated significant buzz in recent months due to his popularity within Nigeria’s entertainment and nightlife scene, as well as his public support for President Bola Tinubu and the APC.
Following the primary election outcome, reactions have continued to pour in across social media, with some users sympathising with the businessman while others described the result as part of the realities of Nigerian politics ahead of the 2027 elections.
