The defendant was docked on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing.

According to the charge, Adams and one other at large allegedly conspired to commit a felony, to wit: stealing, on March 10, 2026, at about 1:50 p.m., at Bolcent Oil and Gas Filling Station, Shasha Market, along Akure-Owo Express Road, within the Akure Magisterial District.

The prosecution further alleged that the defendant stole cable wires and other electrical items valued at N1,500,000, property of one Gbenga Bajulaye of the said filling station.

The offences, according to the prosecutor, contravene Sections 516 and 390(4)(a) of the Criminal Code, Cap. 37, Laws of Ondo State 2006.

The prosecutor, Inspector Nelson Akintimehin, urged the court to grant an adjournment to enable him assemble witnesses for trial.

The defendant, who was not represented by counsel, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In his ruling, the chief Magistrate Sunday Adedapo, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N750,000, with one surety in like sum.

The surety is required to provide evidence of tax payment for the current year and two passport photographs.

The court also ordered that the residence of the surety must be verified by officers.

The defendant was remanded at the Olokuta correctional facility pending the perfection of the bail conditions.

The case was adjourned to April 11, 2026, for hearing.
