Nollywood actress Toyin Adewale has dismissed reports claiming that her son, singer Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, was involved in a fire incident at his Lagos residence.
The rumours, which circulated online, alleged that the singer’s house caught fire following an explosion, sparking concern among fans and the public.
Reacting via her Instagram page, Toyin Adewale questioned the credibility of the reports and criticised the spread of unverified information. She described the claims as unfair and misleading.
The actress assured the public that her family is safe and unaffected, adding that there is no truth to the reports of any fire incident involving her son.
She also expressed appreciation to friends, fans, and well wishers who reached out to check on them following the rumours.
Toyin Adewale further offered prayers for her family and supporters, while calling on media platforms to verify information before publishing.
The clarification comes amid widespread reactions that followed the earlier reports, which had raised concerns about the safety of the singer and his household.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from Mayorkun himself regarding the false claims.
