The Nigeria Police Force has disbursed life insurance benefits to families of officers who died in active service, as part of its Group Life Assurance Scheme aimed at supporting bereaved households.

According to Umar, the payment is designed to provide financial relief to the families of deceased personnel.

He urged beneficiaries to make prudent use of the funds in order to support their families and meet essential needs.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Hamimatu Ahmad, widow of one of the fallen officers, expressed gratitude to the police authorities for the support and intervention.

The command explained that the disbursement is part of ongoing welfare efforts to ensure the families of officers who paid the ultimate price in service are not abandoned.
