Popular Nigerian businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has been appointed as the Imo State Director of the City Boy Movement (CBM).

CBM is a youth-focused political movement currently mobilising support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

CBM Announces Appointment

The appointment was announced via the movement’s official Instagram page, where it described Cubana Chief Priest as a strong addition to its political structure.

According to CBM, he brings “experience, influence, and a people-centred approach” to promoting Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

What CBM Said

The group wrote:

“Cityboy Movement appoints Pascal C. Okechukwu (Cubana Chiefpriest), who stands as a symbol of dedication, strategic leadership, and unwavering commitment to the growth of the City Boy Movement.”

It added that in his new role, Cubana Chief Priest is expected to:

  • Drive grassroots mobilisation
  • Strengthen party structures
  • Push the objectives of Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda

“With a clear vision for progress and unity, Imo State remains firmly positioned for inclusive development, effective leadership, and sustained political engagement,” the post added.

Appointment Sparks Reactions

The development has already triggered reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the increasing involvement of celebrities and socialites in politics ahead of the 2027 elections.
