
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, met with United States President Donald Trump on Thursday at the 74th Annual National Prayer Breakfast held on Capitol Hill, Washington D.C.
During his address at the high-profile event, President Trump publicly acknowledged Mrs Tinubu, describing her as a “very respected woman.”
Trump Invites Remi Tinubu to Stand
In a moment that drew applause from attendees, Trump invited the Nigerian First Lady to stand as he recognised her presence in the hall.
“We’re honoured to be joined today by the First Lady of Nigeria, who also happens to serve as a Christian pastor at the largest church in Nigeria. A very respected woman. First Lady, please, where are you? Thank you very much,” Trump said.
Mrs Tinubu attended the prayer breakfast as part of the gathering of global leaders, lawmakers, and faith-based figures at the annual event.
