Nigeria clashes with Morocco in mouth watering semi final clash at the on Wednesday.
Both teams have the best record in tournament as they haven’t lost a game,Nigeria scoring 14 goals and conceding just 4 so far their highest ever total in any competition, the previous record was in 2000 when they scored 12 goals.
Morocco on the other hand have scored doesn’t score much with 9 goals but relies on their defense which has proven to be their strength by conceding just 1.
Brahim Diaz is the leading goal scorer with 5 goals. Galatasaray Nigeria’s striker has 4 goala tied with Mohammed Salah whose Egyptian side faces Senegal in another pulsating semi final game.
The Eagles of Nigeria would be looking to pose a serious threat when other sharp attackers from the Nigeria side which includes Ademola Lookman of Atalanta, and Sevilla striker Akor Adams constitution to the threat. Nigeria will be without their captain Wilfred Ndidi though who’ll be missing the game after getting his second yellow card of the tournament against Algeria. Calvin Bassey how’s been a workhorse in defense too will be missing through suspension.
One would argue that Nigeria are punching above their weight but after impressive group stage games that saw them score 8 goals and conceding 4, it is safe to dismiss that assertion and consider them as a strong team with potential win the tournament.
Moroccan has arguably the best team on the continent with super players like PSG right back Achraf Hakimi who is the current CAF player of the year and Real Madrid winger Brahim Diaz proving very effective.
