Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministries, also known as Grace Nation Liberation City, has stirred fresh reactions online after sharing a personal account of how his marriage to his ex-wife ended.
The cleric disclosed that he once caught his former wife with another man, an incident he said left him emotionally shattered and took years to recover from.
Video Resurfaces Online
The revelation resurfaced in a video currently circulating on social media, where Pastor Okafor was seen addressing his congregation during a church service. The clip, shared by Instagram blogger Temilola Sobola, has since generated widespread discussion online.
“I Returned Home Unexpectedly”
According to the pastor, the incident happened when he was travelling but suddenly felt compelled to return home earlier than planned.
“We were travelling when something happened, and I asked them to turn back and go to the house,” he narrated.
He explained that his early return was unexpected, and upon opening the door, he encountered a situation that deeply traumatised him.
Younger Brother Was Present
Pastor Okafor revealed that his immediate younger brother, whom he described as his only biological sibling, was with him at the time and witnessed the incident firsthand. During the service, the pastor reportedly invited his brother to the altar to confirm the account.
“I Was Just 22 or 23”
The cleric said he was about 22 or 23 years old when the incident occurred, noting that the emotional impact lingered for a long time.
“What we saw broke me from that moment. It was the woman I married with another man in the house,” he said.
He further stated that the experience affected him deeply and required a long period of healing.
Reflection on the Experience
Pastor Okafor attributed part of the situation to what he described as a lack of proper spiritual foundation at the time, saying the relationship happened during his early years.
The video has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some sympathising with the pastor’s experience, while others questioned the timing and context of sharing such a personal story amid ongoing public controversies involving him.
As of the time of filing this report, Pastor Okafor has not issued any additional clarification beyond what was shared in the viral clip.
