Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has revealed that she arrested a woman who secretly photographed her at the gym without her consent—an act that later led to widespread body-shaming online.
Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, the actress became emotional as she recounted how the viral photo was taken and circulated without her knowledge. She condemned the invasion of privacy and the ridicule that followed on social media.
Actress Says the Gym Photo Was Taken Without Permission
Nkechi explained that she has always been confident in her natural body, especially as a mother of a six-year-old, but noted that the unauthorized picture subjected her to unnecessary mockery.
She questioned why individuals who undergo cosmetic procedures still shame women with natural bodies.
How She Tracked Down the Photographer
According to the actress, she launched a personal investigation to identify the woman responsible. She added that the gym management initially refused to release useful information, but she eventually traced the woman and had her arrested for violating her privacy.
“This is my body; this is how I have always looked. I have a six-year-old son. Someone who has had cosmetic surgery secretly took my picture without my permission. I eventually found her and got her arrested,” she said.
