, the widow of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has once again spoken out amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the DNA test of her son, Liam.
Taking to her Instagram story, Wunmi expressed deep frustration after reports emerged that another Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) had withdrawn from the case.
Wunmi Sends Message to Mohbad’s Father
In her message, Wunmi appeared to address her father-in-law directly, accusing him of trying to influence public opinion and delay the process.
“Another lawyer, a whole SAN, has withdrawn from the case. To my father-in-law, you can hire as many lawyers as you want from anywhere in the world, but one thing is certain—you cannot manipulate this DNA,” she said.
‘We Never Opposed the DNA Test’ — Wunmi
Wunmi reiterated that she has never opposed the DNA test and has fully cooperated with the authorities since the matter began.
“We have cooperated from day one. We never objected to a DNA test. We showed up, we waited, and we followed the law,” she added.
Court Restricts Public Comments
This latest development follows a court order barring Baba Mohbad, Yomi Fabiyi, Bukky Jesse, Larry Omodia, and Adewale Mariam from making statements or inciting public remarks about Wunmi and her son for a period of one year.
‘Truth Will Prevail’
Concluding her post, Wunmi reaffirmed her trust in truth and justice, insisting that neither the courts nor science can be manipulated. She expressed hope that justice would prevail — for herself, for Liam, and for Mohbad — as November 11, the next key date in the case, approaches.
