Controversial commentator Kemi Olunloyo has sparked fresh reactions online after introducing a new angle to the ongoing discussion surrounding the death of Abuja-based singer Ifunanya Nwangene, popularly known as Nanyah.
In a video shared online, Olunloyo questioned the circumstances surrounding the snakebite incident that reportedly led to the singer’s death, describing the situation as unusual and unresolved.
“How Did Two Cobras Enter Her Apartment?”
Olunloyo wondered how two cobras were allegedly found inside the late singer’s apartment, insisting that the situation deserved deeper scrutiny beyond normal explanations.
She argued that although snakebites are not treated as crimes under Nigerian law, the strange details surrounding the incident should not be ignored.
Ambulance Snake Claim Raises More Concerns
The commentator also referenced reports claiming that another snake was allegedly found inside the engine of the ambulance used to convey Nanyah’s body.
According to her, the coincidence was troubling and raised further spiritual questions.
Medusa, Snake Charmers and Spiritual Allegations
Olunloyo went further by linking snakes to spirituality, mythology, and music, referencing the story of Medusa and the concept of snake charmers in India.
She claimed that snakes are often associated with music, pointing to how cobras appear to “dance” to flute sounds in snake charming performances.
Suggests Singer May Have Been “Associated With Snakes”
Based on these beliefs, Olunloyo suggested that the late singer may have had some form of association with snakes — including the possibility of keeping them as pets — though she admitted there may never be proof.
Her comments have since triggered heated debate online, with many Nigerians calling her claims insensitive, while others insist the incident still leaves too many unanswered questions.
