The Nigerian Senate will resume plenary sitting on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, following a two-week break.
This was disclosed in an official notice issued on Sunday by Emmanuel Odo, the Clerk of the Senate, who said the announcement was made on the directive of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
According to the statement, the plenary is scheduled to commence by 11:00am at the Senate Chamber, with all senators expected to be present.
Odo also urged lawmakers to adjust their personal schedules to ensure full attendance, stressing that the sitting will involve important deliberations and key decisions on national matters.
The Senate had earlier gone on recess for about two weeks, during which lawmakers focused on budget defence sessions involving several Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
More details are expected as the Senate reconvenes.
