Pastor Explains His PositionWarning Issued to Music TeamMixed Reactions Online

A video currently circulating on social media shows Pastor David Ogbueli, Senior Pastor of Dominion City Churches Worldwide, admonishing members of his church’s choir and instrumentalists during a live service.

In the footage, Pastor Ogbueli is seen addressing the instrumentalists and choristers from the front of the congregation, criticising them for what he described as a failure to discern when to stop playing their instruments during worship.

Pastor Explains His Position

While speaking, the cleric cautioned the music team by drawing comparisons with what he described as heavenly order in the presence of God. He told the instrumentalists that excessive or ill-timed playing was inappropriate during certain moments of worship.

In the video, Pastor Ogbueli is heard saying that worship in heaven is marked by reverence and stillness, adding that everyone, including heavenly beings, is said to be in total submission during such moments.

His remarks, which referenced personal spiritual experiences, quickly sparked discussions online.

Warning Issued to Music Team

Pastor Ogbueli further warned the instrumentalists that disciplinary action could follow if similar incidents occur again. According to the video, he stated that members of the music team could face up to six months’ suspension if they fail to adhere to instructions during services.

Mixed Reactions Online

The video has generated mixed reactions on social media. While some viewers defended the pastor’s emphasis on order and discipline during worship, others questioned the tone and manner in which the correction was delivered publicly.

As of the time of this report, Dominion City has not issued an official statement addressing the video or the reactions it has generated.

The clip continues to circulate online, adding to ongoing conversations about leadership style, worship practices, and discipline within church settings.
