Social media activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has weighed in on the ongoing controversy involving Nollywood actress Doris Ogala and clergyman Pastor Chris Okafor, following reports of the actress’s arrest.
VDM revealed that he had a phone conversation with Doris Ogala shortly before the alleged arrest, claiming he sensed that “something bad was coming” and decided to reach out to her.
VDM Claims He Warned the Actress
In a video shared online, VeryDarkMan said he felt uneasy about Ogala’s situation and advised her during the call to be cautious about how she handled sensitive allegations.
According to him, he told the actress:
“There are some things that you should not do, and when you do those things and come out to confess, you need to confess fully, 100 percent fully.”
He said his concern was driven by what he described as a strong premonition that she could be in danger.
Doris Ogala Allegedly Expressed Fear
VDM further claimed that during the conversation, Doris Ogala defended herself and insisted she had evidence to support her allegations against Pastor Chris Okafor.
According to him, the actress allegedly expressed fear for her safety, telling him:
“I don’t know what will happen to me tomorrow.”
He added that she promised to forward all the materials and evidence she had in her possession.
VDM Says He Has Received Evidence
In a follow-up video, VeryDarkMan alleged that Ogala later sent him documents and materials backing her claims.
He further suggested that those behind her reported arrest might be attempting to destroy evidence on her phone, a claim that has not been independently verified.
Warning Issued to Pastor Chris Okafor
The activist went on to issue a public warning, stating that he would release the materials sent to him if Doris Ogala is not released.
He said:
“Yesterday, my spirit kept telling me to call Doris Ogala. After calling her, she sent me all the evidence she had. I’m giving Pastor Chris Okafor and Jeremiah a warning: if Doris Ogala does not return home by Tuesday, every piece of evidence she sent me will be released on social media.”
Reports of Arrest During Live Broadcast
Unconfirmed reports claim that Doris Ogala was arrested on Saturday evening, December 20, while participating in a live online broadcast.
During the livestream, the session was reportedly interrupted when security agents arrived at her residence. A voice was heard asking, “Are the police in your house?” to which Ogala allegedly replied, “Yes, the police are in my house.”
Public Reactions and Awaiting Official Response
The claims by VeryDarkMan have triggered widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians closely following developments surrounding the case.
As of the time of filing this report, Pastor Chris Okafor has not issued an official response addressing the statements made by VeryDarkMan, and authorities have yet to confirm details surrounding Doris Ogala’s reported arrest.
