In a statement currently circulating on social media, Doris Ogala alleged that the pastor went ahead with the marriage after his new wife allegedly became pregnant.
According to the actress, pressure reportedly mounted from individuals close to the church, including the woman’s mother, whom she described as the choir coordinator, forcing the cleric’s hand.
Actress Claims Marriage Was Due to Pressure
Ogala further alleged that Pastor Okafor was compelled to proceed with the wedding to avoid public embarrassment and reputational damage. She claimed the marriage was not necessarily based on love, but rather a response to mounting pressure and fear of exposure.
Speaking on her own role in the controversy, the actress insisted that she never intended to marry the cleric. Instead, she said her actions were driven by a desire to expose what she described as wrongdoing.
“That man got that girl pregnant. The mother of that girl is the choir coordinator. They insisted that he had to marry the girl or else they would disgrace and expose him. That girl is pregnant. He ran to marry her because he didn’t want to be exposed. God led me to expose this man. I never wanted to marry him. I wanted revenge,” Ogala claimed.
