Nigeria breezed passed the cranes of Uganda after cruising to a 1 3 victory at the Fes stadium in Rabat.
Paul Onuachu who missed a chance to put Nigeria ahead few minutes earlier got to the end of a Tom Dele-Bashiru’s cross to tap in from close range in the 28th minute.
Raphael Onyedika doubled the Super Eagles lead in the 62nd minutes after a cut back from Samuel Chukwueze.
The third goal of the game came in the 68th minutes after Samuel Chukwueze skillfully beat the Uganda defense to lay down a pass for Raphael Onyedika for his second goal in the game.
Nigeria were on course to scored more goals but they could not be decisive in the final third. Nigeria has shown how vulnerable they are in defence yet as they failed to keep a clean sheet, the Ugandas got a consolation goal scored by R. Mato after a sumptuous pass from A Okelo to keep the hopes of the the cranes alive.
It was a difficult game for the Ugandas who played the game with three goalkeepers as Denis Onyango went out injured in the 46th minute, his replacement Salim J. Magoola handled the ball outside the box 11 minutes after coming on, resulting in his dismissal, allowing third choice Alionzi to come on.
The win therefore ensures that Nigeria tops the table winning three out of three, scoring 8 and conceding 4 in the process
