An alleged terrorist commander has sparked nationwide outrage after appearing in a viral video where he threatened to abduct Nigerian military officers, state governors, and even President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The video, shared on X by user @chuks, shows the armed militant dressed in what appears to be a Nigerian military jacket while boasting about recent attacks in the North.
Militant Boasts About School Kidnappings
In the clip, the commander bragged about the abductions of schoolchildren in Kebbi and Niger states, claiming the government has failed to secure the lives of citizens.
He said:
“We kidnapped school students in Kebbi State and Niger State. Next time, we will kidnap Nigerian military officers and take them to the forest.”
Threatens to Target Governors and President Tinubu
Pointing to his camouflage jacket, the militant issued more chilling threats:
“Look at the clothes I’m wearing — they belong to a soldier. Nigeria, in the days ahead, we will kidnap a governor, we will kidnap the President, and others.”
He urged Nigerians to seek divine protection, insisting that authorities can no longer guarantee their safety.
Timeline of Recent Attacks on Schools
The threatening video surfaced just days after heavily armed men invaded St. Mary’s Papiri Private Catholic Secondary School in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State on November 21, 2025.
The attack, which happened between 2am and 3am, led to the abduction of more than 100 students and teachers, according to local sources.
This incident followed the November 16 abduction of about 25 female students from Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School in Kebbi State. During that operation, one staff member was killed and the school guard was injured.
Communities Living in Fear
The repeated abductions have created widespread panic across northern communities, with schools increasingly becoming targets for armed groups.
The militant concluded his video by addressing his online audience:
“No one among the big men can wipe your tears. We have woken up. I greet all of you on social media. Have a pleasant day.”
