New alleged evidence released by human rights activist Omoyele Sowore has reignited controversy surrounding billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, intensifying public debate over the true age of actress Regina Daniels at the time of their marriage.
This comes after Ned Nwoko had previously claimed Regina was 19 years old when they got married — a claim now challenged by documents shared online.
Passport Suggests Regina Was 17 in 2019
According to files posted on Sowore’s page, Regina Daniels’ passport reportedly indicates she was born in October 2001, placing her at 17 years old when she married Ned Nwoko in 2019.
Sowore also alleged that Regina’s full name was originally Regina Nneamaka Favour Ojeogwu and that it was later changed to “Regina Daniels.” He further claimed that Nwoko helped her obtain a fake INEC voter card to mask her real age.
Allegations of International Travel to Avoid Scrutiny
The activist went on to state that the couple traveled to countries such as Jordan, the UAE, and Egypt, but allegedly avoided Europe and the United States to prevent closer scrutiny regarding Regina’s age at the time.
He also made additional claims that Nwoko introduced Regina to drugs — allegations currently unverified and widely debated online.
Sowore Calls for Transparency
Sowore, who recently showed public support for Regina during the arrest and detention of her brother Sammy (now released), is now calling for transparency and accountability regarding the circumstances surrounding the marriage.
Nigerians React With Outrage and Demands for Accountability
The revelations have sparked intense reactions across social media, with many Nigerians demanding:
-
clarification on Regina’s true age at the time of the marriage,
-
an independent investigation into the allegations, and
-
accountability from those involved.
The online debate continues to grow as both supporters and critics express strong opinions on the matter.
