A video circulating online shows Mustapha Adekunle “Sego”, Lagos State Chairman of the NURTW, issuing a chilling warning to residents: those who vote for opposition parties (PDP or LP) in 2027 will face consequences.
In the clip, Sego is reported to say that anyone unwilling to support APC in the upcoming polls will be “dealt with,” implying use of force or retribution. He urged that in Lagos, no one should dare vote outside APC.
The threats have provoked widespread outrage, with commentators, activists, and civil society groups calling for intervention by INEC and security agencies to ensure free, fair, and safe elections.
