
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his warm congratulations to Sanae Takaichi on her emergence as Japan’s first-ever female Prime Minister, describing her victory as a groundbreaking moment in the country’s political history.
In a statement personally signed by the President and released through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu hailed Takaichi’s election as a major democratic milestone and a powerful example of gender inclusion in leadership.

Tinubu stated that Takaichi’s rise to Japan’s highest political office reflects the “deep trust and confidence” the Japanese people and the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) have in her leadership abilities.
