The heartbreaking death of Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche, has shocked Nigerians and reignited conversations about domestic violence and relationship-related crimes.
According to multiple credible reports (Premium Times, The Street Journal, Linda Ikeji’s Blog), Deborah, a young interior designer and recent NYSC graduate, was allegedly killed by her former partner, Lintex Ogale, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at her Lagos residence.
Reports suggest Ogale disguised himself as a dispatch rider to access her estate and later forced entry into her home after failed attempts to sabotage her gas line. He then allegedly attacked Deborah with a knife. Neighbors rushed to the scene after hearing her screams. Ogale was reportedly found pretending to be lifeless beside her body but was later arrested by the police.
Deborah had ended their relationship in August 2023 due to alleged domestic abuse and threats. Friends and family recall chilling statements Ogale reportedly made: “If I can’t have you, nobody will.”
The case has triggered widespread outrage, with Nigerians on social media demanding justice and sharing old posts allegedly made by Ogale, which some believe revealed his obsession. Advocacy groups and members of the Igede community have also joined calls for accountability.
At the time of reporting, the Lagos State Police Command has not issued an official statement, but the story continues to dominate public discourse on gender-based violence and women’s safety in Nigeria.
