Ruth is trending on X after her recent Ghana vacation spiraled into one of the biggest social media dramas in recent weeks.
Two weeks ago, Ruth and her influencer friends took a road trip to Ghana, posting fun moments online. But things took a turn when her friend, Madam Fufu, tweeted about the high cost of fuel in Ghana — “₵14.3 per liter = ₦2,000 😳 How are people coping?? 😩”

The post went viral, and Ruth soon found herself under heavy dragging. Matters escalated when investigative journalist David Hundeyin quote-tweeted, harshly criticizing Ruth and her crew, calling them “abominable stupid…” and alleging that their Ghana trip was connected to an IMF/APC-sponsored agenda.

Ruth, visibly upset, clapped back at David and has now reportedly filed a lawsuit against him.

To make things worse, as Nigerians woke up on September 3, 2025, to the Federal Government’s announcement of a 5% petrol consumption tax, many linked it back to the Ghana fuel debate, fueling fresh attacks against Ruth.

Clips, memes, and compilations of Ruth’s Ghana posts are now trending, with X divided between those defending her and those calling her out.
