Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, has been confirmed dead after being shot during a speaking event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on September 10, 2025. He was 31 years old.
The incident occurred about 20 minutes into Kirk’s speech, under a white tent, during the “American Comeback Tour.” A single gunshot penetrated his neck, causing fatal injury. Kirk was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead. Authorities believe the shot came from a rooftop or high-building structure some yards away from the stage — the Losee Center roof is mentioned. Investigations are ongoing. A high-powered bolt-action rifle was reportedly found nearby along a likely escape route. Law enforcement has released images of a “person of interest” and requested public assistance.
